be it war, catastrophe, societal destruction or domestic violence
– nature always, always has the power to overcome, to heal...
and no matter the devastation we humans inflict – she, nature,
will always find a way to deal with, to come back...
nor is it nature's demise we need to fear – because nature
will not bother, does not need to, does not need us, will endure...
it is us – without respect for nature – who will perish.
and were we to fully embrace nature, honor the female
principle existent in everything inherent to planet earth,
including ourselves, and that irrespective of gender – we would be
so much more kind, gentle, understanding, wholesome and at peace.
installation suggestion
the amputated tree branches calling out from the distance, compelling the visitor to come closer, to explore... discovering a tiny single green leaf emerging from the dark cone of injury and scar – that somewhat resembles a very specific female anatomy; while the bottom panel, depicting advanced and successful reemergence, allows to affect the mind-heart coherence of the viewer – the energy thorax of the person in front merging with the field of renewal, of promise, of hope.
panel dimensions are calculated, deliberate and interrelated and the spacial overall organization implying the shape of being in front of, and looking at, a tree; the work impacting the energy of the field of the space where it is displayed and naturally – respectively most importantly – that of the people attending.
art can transform, can indeed heal
I am principally unhappy – if not incomplete – without a camera on me; and I mean camera, not (smart)phone... I am not interested in algorithmic or AI generated visuals – but optics, glass; truly being able to work with light, capture the wavelengths, and yes, the energy of the object;
aside from assignments or project related work, I most enjoy portraying the essence of what I see, and here specifically, how that which I see does make me feel; and then making visible and transferring that sensation: pain, sorrow, wonder, awe, happiness, delight, hope, love... e-motions, vibrations of energy.
