a collage of images taken in Freiland (literally: free land), a village in Styria, Austria, that derives it's name from the time of the peasant revolts; a study of rural traditions with a focus on the role of women – largely relegated to affairs of the kitchen, childrearing and the church; the factual work is printed on foil, mounted into a backlit box and framed by acrylic encased branches and twigs collected on location
