de profundis…
this from a most beautiful collaboration – artwork for music publishing... an icon image so to speak.
the square version, for platforms such as Soundcloud (based on device that is)...
...and horizontal, for Youtube and the likes/wide screens.
below the original image – I was taking a walk at nightfall, in densest fog imaginable, and chanced upon this little weeping willow being something of an outsider... up on a hill, the entire group backlit by the city below.

and yes, I brightened the outgoing promotional versions a tad and made them also slightly warmer hued – but, no 'filter' applied! I don't do filters... my work is 'straight' and unadulterated – not a fan of Photoshop tricks I ever am... save for a bit of 'spicing' in LR post production, and yes, playing with greyscale/monochrome of course... until I get me an 'Henri' – or maybe a Quentin... to be seen.
(I should however add that there are instances where I do appreciate overt alteration as well as assemblage – manipulation employed to condense and intensify my discoveries; and then it is naturally a yes to editing software – only, for sure obvious and not for purposes of beautification or pretense, aka fake; unless of course that’s utilized to make exactly such point... do I still make sense?)
now, have a listen for yourself – it is one of my all-time favorite pieces by my dear friend, Roberto García de Mesa.
